Harsh Agarwal I have never heard something like this. This is seriously hot club music begging to be bought. And they are selling their whole discog for 7.5 euros
Are you kidding me?
centralfocus thumbnail
centralfocus There was this song on Orbital's Snivilization called "Kein Trink Wasser".
Early Orbital is a good reference for this work. Favorite track: my secret weapon.

deadshotkeen This is as inventive as hell. It sounds like late 80s piano-based acid house filtered through a neo-classical composer’s prism. Or maybe Ben Frost DJ-ing at Fabric. Genot Centre is fast becoming at the vanguard of the world’s most interesting, challenging and satisfying electronic music. Favorite track: unfinished dreams.

"Imagine Mark Fell crossed with "Avril 14th" and you're not far off. But in spite of the generative feel of the composition, it never feels academic or stuffy, instead lilting, inviting and a bit mischievous." (Resident Advisor)

"For all this sleek elegance though, the nocturnal romanticism of the club burns through the music." (the Quietus)

“The Secret Weapon sounds like constructivist painting made audible.” (SBVRSV)

"The Secret Weapon revolves around an icy, minimalistic echo of the piano. A unique and explorative sound that fuses experimental and dance music." (AVYSS magazine)

"My Cruelty’s music is the expression of an incredible array of influences coming not only from the musical world going from Jean Cocteau to Björk and is able to build up a uniquely hypnotic sound made of emotions and feelings." (Soul Feeder)

THE SECRET WEAPON (GEN040) by MY CRUELTY is a tapestry of ambiguous harmony, rolling synth stabs and sparse, syncopated drum patterns. With endless and never tiring reinforcement, slow - or phantom? - template shifts undergo sudden phase transitions: icy house piano phrases undergo a process of mini counterpoint, later on even complemented by acidic permutations. As the boundaries between tracks dissolve, a dance floor ready scintillating grid illusion unveils itself.

// My Cruelty about The Secret Weapon
"My purpose - to create a hypnotic sound, music full of feelings, that gives you a sense. I create my own mythology. You come inside and feel the silence, endure the pain. But it’s not depressive or sad, this pain opens a new door in life, this pain clears and changes, makes stronger. My album is an ode to the love of music, life. Never stop to live. Music is life, this is movement, this is energy, this is dance.
I am a pure stream, I am an open infinity. I see dreams and go to meet them. I see my reflection, the phantom / ephemeral nature of my soul. I transform so quickly that I do not have time to capture my image. I see myself and at that moment disappear, become something else and look at myself again to see who I am.”

// BESSA illustration about the cover design
"I am playing with shapes and fragments in different layers floating around the basis - smiley face. These forms exist together and separately at the same time. They are continuously moving and creating certain tension which gives you ephemeral feeling. Because movement is the basis of our life, nature and universe itself.”
